Position Overview:

The Radnor Township School District is anticipating a vacancy for the role of Registered Behavior Technician at the Elementary Level. This position is crucial in providing support to students with special needs through effective behavioral strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Certification: Must possess a Registered Behavior Technician Certification or be able to obtain it within 30 days.
  • Education: A high school diploma is required; a minimum of 2 years of college education is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with students with special needs is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) techniques to support student learning.
  • Provide direct assistance to students in both individual and group settings to facilitate skill development and behavioral improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student behavior and progress.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to implement positive behavior support strategies.
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning.
  • Assist in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors exhibited by students.
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the school community in the areas of social, emotional, and behavioral education.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compensation: Hourly rate as per the collective bargaining agreement.
