The primary role of the Production Manager is to ensure that production timelines are adhered to with optimal efficiency, enhance the organization of the production environment, and facilitate effective communication between management and the production team.
Key Responsibilities- Empowered to halt production to rectify quality issues.
- Accountable for timely achievement of production schedules.
- Oversee the training and documentation of the workforce.
- Optimize the utilization of human resources.
- Develop and manage the production operating plan and necessary overtime.
- Promote a clean, organized, and visually effective workspace.
- Conduct daily production meetings with supervisors and staff.
- Work towards reducing labor costs while enhancing output capacity.
- Address customer inquiries promptly.
- Ensure compliance with IATF-16949 standards at all times.
- Actively engage in and support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
- Enhance first-time yield rates.
- Education: A four-year technical or business degree is required.
- Experience: 5-10 years in the automotive manufacturing sector is essential.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required.
- Skills: Proficiency in teamwork, lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, technical expertise, production scheduling, and problem-solving capabilities.
