Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician at Zeus Industrial Products, Inc. is responsible for repairing, maintaining, installing, and testing machines, as well as performing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work, and minor construction tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is running efficiently and in good condition.
Conduct various safety inspections and abatements to ensure a safe working environment.
Adhere to safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Follow preventative maintenance checklists, inspect belts, check fluid levels, replace filters and worn parts, lubricate moving parts, and maintain accurate records.
Plan repairs, consult blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams, flow schematics, and parts catalogs to ensure effective solutions.
Requirements
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to adapt to different situations and work independently or as part of a team.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or stand for extended periods.
Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and write legibly, and maintain accurate records.
Employee supplies own tools, but Zeus supply toolbox is provided.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 30F to 100F, and work inside and outside, year-round.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and reach overhead with ease.
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and solve promptly.
Ability to work in confined and restricted spaces.
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Any unscheduled absence or tardiness will negatively impact our ability to meet production objectives.
Previous experience in industrial maintenance is required.
High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a two-year electrician training program, electrical technology, manufacturing technology, engineering technology, or related program, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Thorough knowledge of standard practices, tools, and equipment used in the general industrial maintenance trade.
Good knowledge of AC, DC, and SERVO controls, electric motors, and controllers, and mechanical and electrical repair of machinery.
PLC and electronic experience is beneficial.
Experience and/or solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred but not required.
Good knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Ability to adapt available tools and repair parts to specific problems.
Skill in the use and care of hand, power, and basic machine tools.
