Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

About the Role:

  • As an Ultrasound Technologist at Rapides Regional Medical Center, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound and vascular procedures, working closely with radiologists and other physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • You will be expected to maintain a high level of technical expertise, staying up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide compassionate care and support.
  • You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, respect, and open communication, working together to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound and vascular procedures, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
  • Assist radiologists and other physicians in interpreting images and making diagnoses.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay current with the latest imaging technologies and procedures, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and open communication.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Diplomatic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) certification required within one year of employment.
