About the Role

Rapides Regional Physicians Group Cardiology and Rheumatolog is seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians
  • Scheduling patients for ultrasonic diagnostic procedures
  • Explaining procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results
  • Positioning patients and selecting the appropriate transducer
  • Conducting scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment
  • Making hard copy images and documenting tests
  • Maintaining ultrasound equipment and supplies
  • Maintaining department records, reports and files

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer
  • Certified in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance to state regulations
  • Knowledge of ultrasound diagnostic procedures
  • Skills in problem solving, organization, and communication
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively under stress
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others
