We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team at Rapides Regional Physicians Group Cardiology and Rheumatolog. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using ultrasound equipment, including positioning patients and selecting the appropriate transducer.
- Schedule patients for ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Conduct scanning procedures, making hard copy images and documenting tests, and maintaining ultrasound equipment.
- Order and stock all ultrasound supplies and maintain department records, reports, and files.
- Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer.
- Certification in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance with state regulations, such as ARRT or ARDMS.
- Knowledge of ultrasound diagnostic procedures, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively under stress.
