Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Specialist to join our Risk Control team. As a key member of our investigative team, you will provide scientific and engineering expertise to support claims investigations and help our customers navigate complex loss scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations of complex claims, applying scientific and engineering principles to identify causes and contributing factors.
  • Collaborate with claims professionals, attorneys, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective investigation strategies.
  • Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings, including depositions, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in various areas of forensic science, including fire science, origin and cause investigations, and failure analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in forensic science, attending conferences and participating in relevant professional organizations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering field, such as chemistry, physics, or mechanical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in forensic science and investigation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and independently.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to loss scenes as needed.
