Job Description:

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Forensic Psychology Fellow at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct court-ordered evaluations and expert testimony to State, Superior, and Juvenile courts, as needed, regarding opinions of competency to stand trial and degree of criminal responsibility.
  • Supervise assigned inpatient clinical staff, as able and needed.
  • Conduct violence risk assessments and other clinical or forensic psychological evaluations.
  • Provide group and/or individual psychotherapy with forensic inpatients or outpatients, as needed.
  • Other clinical/forensic psychological services as able and needed.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university.
  • Completion of an APA-approved psychology internship.
