Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a Field Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment to apply herbicides and pesticides to crops, while maintaining accurate records and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply herbicides and pesticides to crops in accordance with company guidelines and regulations
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing repairs as needed
  • Keep accurate records of applications, including log books and spray records
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain pesticide applicator certification
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience operating large equipment, such as tractors and sprayers, is essential
  • Class A or B CDL required; must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle
  • Must pass a drug test and background check
  • Ability to work nights, overtime, and weekends during peak season
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of crop protection products
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers
Work Environment

As a Field Equipment Operator at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and may be exposed to loud noises, fumes, and other hazards. You must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
