Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a Field Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment to apply herbicides and pesticides to crops, while maintaining accurate records and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply herbicides and pesticides to crops in accordance with company guidelines and regulations
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to ensure optimal performance
  • Keep accurate records of application activities, including log books and spray records
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain pesticide applicator certification
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Class A or B CDL required; experience operating large equipment preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle
  • Ability to work nights, overtime, and weekends during peak season
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment maintenance
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of pesticides
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers
Work Environment

As a Field Equipment Operator, you will work in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be required to work near moving equipment and machinery, and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and chemical hazards. You will also be required to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
