We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a Field Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment to apply herbicides and pesticides to crops, while maintaining accurate records and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain equipment to apply herbicides and pesticides to crops
- Mix and apply pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals according to label instructions and company protocols
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Keep accurate records of application activities, including log books and field maps
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain pesticide applicator license and stay up-to-date on industry best practices
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle
- Class A or B CDL required
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Mechanically inclined with experience in operating large equipment
- Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Agricultural background and knowledge of ag pesticides
- Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers
As a Field Equipment Operator, you will work in a typical warehouse and distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be required to work near moving equipment and mechanical parts, and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, and electrical shock. You will also be required to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
