Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Equipment Operator to join our team at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC. As a Field Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment to apply herbicides and pesticides to crops, while maintaining accurate records and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply herbicides and pesticides to crops in accordance with company guidelines and regulations
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to ensure optimal performance
  • Keep accurate records of application data, including acreage, product usage, and weather conditions
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain pesticide applicator certification
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of field operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle
  • Class A or B CDL required
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred
  • Agricultural background or experience
  • Basic knowledge of ag pesticides
  • Excellent driving record
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers
Work Environment

As a Field Equipment Operator, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and potential hazards. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
