We are currently in search of a dedicated CDL Bus Driver with a pristine driving history to safely transport our residents and recreation team members to various scheduled events and activities. This pivotal role requires a friendly and attentive approach, ensuring our residents enjoy their day to the fullest. We are looking for a positive individual who prioritizes safety while also providing a warm and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with boarding and disembarking from the bus
  • Welcome residents with a friendly demeanor
  • Adhere to all local and state driving regulations
  • Operate the vehicle responsibly, avoiding reckless driving behaviors
  • Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
  • Report any vehicle issues to the Director of Recreation
  • Document any incidents involving residents
  • Ensure the vehicle is thoroughly cleaned after each trip
  • Perform errands as directed by management
  • Support the Director of Recreation with activity-related tasks
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management

Important Note: Candidates must undergo a DMV background check. Only applicants with a clean driving record will be considered.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement
  • Impeccable driving record with no violations (DMV check required)
  • Understanding of vehicle maintenance and traffic laws
  • Courteous and respectful interaction with residents and team members
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule
  • Strong navigational skills and familiarity with the local area
  • Vision and hearing must meet standard requirements
  • Willingness to assist the recreation team with additional tasks as needed
