Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Bus Driver to transport our assisted living residents and recreation activity team members to scheduled events, field trips, and activities in the safest possible manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents in boarding and exiting the bus
  • Greet residents in a courteous and pleasant manner
  • Operate the vehicle responsibly, adhering to local and state driving laws
  • Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance and cleaning
  • Report vehicle malfunctions and incidents to the Director of Recreation
  • Complete incident reports for resident accidents, injuries, or episodes
  • Ensure the vehicle is cleaned after each trip
  • Perform errands as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Director of Recreation
  • Assist the Director of Recreation with activities-related tasks
Requirements
  • Valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Passenger Endorsement
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations (DMV check will be conducted)
  • Knowledge of vehicle care and rules of the road
  • Pleasant and courteous demeanor towards residents and colleagues
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule
  • Strong sense of direction and knowledge of local layouts
  • 20/20 vision and good hearing
  • Willingness to assist the recreation team and management with additional tasks
Additional Information

Candidates must submit to a DMV background check. A clean driving record is required for this position.
