Cashier Attendant Job Description

The Cashier Attendant is a key member of our team at Jacobsen|Daniels, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth parking experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet arriving guests and provide courteous, efficient, and enthusiastic service for valet parking requests.
  • Verify the cash and supplies provided for each shift and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Issue tickets to customers, record required information, and collect payment through cash, credit card, or validation.
  • Process exception transactions, complete applicable forms, and provide correct change for cash transactions.
  • Accurately complete daily shift paperwork, recording transactions, vehicle information, and guest details.
  • Inspect vehicles for condition, note any damage, and check for pre-existing damage to guest vehicles.
  • Record guest names, vehicle information, and secure guest keys for parking.
  • Accommodate guests requiring special assistance and aid.
  • Identify designated parking locations and provide guests with vehicle claim checks.
  • Report issues and potential problems affecting guest vehicles and traffic congestion.
  • Assist guests with luggage and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service, responding effectively to guest inquiries and resolving complaints within scope.
Requirements:
  • Customer-focused, action-oriented, and committed to excellence.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently.
  • Strong sense of personal motivation and responsibility.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
  • Ability to pass an airport security clearance and obtain an acceptable Criminal History Report/Drug Test Result.
Work Experience:

Candidates with 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry, including guest and/or customer service, are preferred. Experience in the parking industry is a plus.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift as needed.
  • Ability to move luggage in and out of customer vehicles.
