Job Title: Director of Nursing

English Meadows Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As a DON, you will be responsible for the daily functioning of healthcare needs of our residents and will supervise the nursing department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing staff and medication delivery system
  • Train new caregivers and existing staff
  • Designate person in charge when administrator is absent
  • Plan and oversee admission, nursing, and patient care process
  • Adhere to state regulations and maintain quality assurance program
  • Order, store, and assist with medication according to physician orders
  • Assist with resident care, meals, move-outs, and move-ins as needed
  • Observe and communicate changes in resident condition
  • Complete and review incident reports as needed
  • Maintain current resident records

Requirements:

  • Certified as a Registered Medication Aide or LPN
  • Good organizational and supervisory skills
  • Ability to praise and discipline team members as appropriate
  • Acceptable criminal record check
  • Documented TB screening
  • CPR/1st Aid certification within 60 days of employment
