Our Operations teams are integral to the success of the Markets business, significantly influencing the trade lifecycle. We collaborate extensively with various internal stakeholders, including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and HR, while also engaging with our external client base to enhance the overall client experience.

Job Purpose:

The Margin Operations team, part of ICG Markets Operations, is essential in mitigating credit risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing margin calls to facilitate the receipt and/or payment of eligible collateral.
  • Optimizing collateral.
  • Resolving and escalating exceptions such as fails, cash breaks, and margin disputes.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance through the management of eligible collateral and conducting portfolio reconciliations.

The successful candidate will report to the Global Head of OTC Margin Operations and will oversee the NAM OTC margin team, which supports the complete margin process. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing teams in various locations.
  • Participating in the implementation of regulatory initiatives.
  • Simplifying and transforming operational platforms.
  • Establishing robust controls and documented procedures.
  • Communicating with internal and external auditors and regulators.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants should possess:

  • A BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in the financial industry.
  • Experience managing direct reports and strategic change programs.
  • Strong communication skills and a risk management mindset.
  • The ability to build trust and establish relationships across the organization.
