Position Summary

The Head of Financial Operations will be responsible for directing the financial activities of the organization’s Orlando division. This position entails supervising the finance department, ensuring adherence to financial standards, and delivering clear financial reports to align with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in manufacturing finance, exceptional leadership capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee actual indirect rates within the MRP/ERP framework
    • Supervise project configurations in Deltek Costpoint
    • Manage Accounts Receivable processes to ensure prompt billing
    • Oversee Accounts Payable processes for precise disbursements
    • Coordinate Human Resources and Payroll processes for accurate reporting
  • Financial Reporting and Closing:
    • Direct the monthly financial closing process and journal entries
    • Ensure reconciliation and maintenance of balance sheet accounts
    • Implement revenue recognition practices for client contracts
    • Collaborate with finance managers for precise project reporting
  • Compliance and Audit Management:
    • Establish and uphold an internal control framework
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations
    • Work with auditors to facilitate audits
    • Manage relationships with both internal and external auditors
  • Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team
    • Conduct performance assessments and provide professional growth opportunities
    • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the manufacturing sector, ideally within aerospace
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic work environment

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation preferred
  • 10-15 years of experience in accounting and finance
