We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse 1 to join our team at the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. As a Registered Nurse 1, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assessments, care planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
- Provide education and support to individuals, families, and caregivers on health and wellness topics, including disease management, nutrition, and medication management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care and service delivery.
- Document all interactions, assessments, and interventions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and caregivers.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
