Nursing Administrator

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Administrator to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
About the RoleThe Nursing Administrator will provide administrative direction and leadership to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the operations of the Nursing Department on the off-shift, collaborating with nursing resources to ensure quality patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure resource availability for patient care needs on the off-shift.
- Develop and implement patient care policies and nursing standards to ensure compliance of the nursing staff.
- Provide guidance to nursing, medical, and support staff on the off-shift, establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships.
- Participate in nursing committees and task forces, institution-wide and interdisciplinary.
- Assist in the development of financial proposals to support programs identified for the off-shift.
- Participate in the department financial plan, developing and managing the implementation and evaluation.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing, BSN and Master's Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Five years of clinical nursing experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients and families, nursing staff, and other disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability in management of diverse activities associated with operating the Nursing Department.
