Purpose of Position:

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain computer software systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide solutions that support production, quality, and manufacturing improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in visual software, PLC programming, and robot controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software systems for cloud computing and manufacturing automation.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and other staff to forecast feasibility under cost and time constraints.
  • Perform software testing and debugging, with a focus on procedures and programming.
  • Communicate with customers and clients to establish maintenance procedures for software systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automated manufacturing, with a focus on visual software and PLC programming.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, creative thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with software engineering tools and applications.
  • Knowledge of AI technology, image processing, and vision systems.
  • GUI development and network communications skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
