Join us in a pivotal role where you will contribute significantly to our clinical operations. This position operates on a schedule of Monday to Friday, with a commitment of 80 hours per pay period and no on-call responsibilities.
Role Responsibilities- Support the Director of Clinical Care in overseeing all aspects of the clinical team’s operations.
- Assist in managing the daily activities of the nursing department, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations to uphold the highest standards of care.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to the clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Help communicate clear and measurable performance expectations. Utilize effective training methods to enhance team capabilities and maintain tracking systems for employee performance. Deliver timely feedback and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Assist in monitoring and implementing organizational changes and enhancements to quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with various departments, understanding their needs and working together to achieve organizational goals. Build strong relationships across teams to facilitate a unified approach.
- Provide daily direction and problem-solving support as challenges arise. Promote ongoing development opportunities for employees and maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Engage in resident pre-admission assessments and admissions processes.
- Participate in relevant meetings as required.
- Conduct annual and timely supervisions for unlicensed staff.
- Involve in the recruitment process for clinical team members.
- Commit to working at least one off-shift weekly and one weekend shift monthly to strengthen relationships with team members present during those times.
- The responsibilities outlined above represent the nature and level of work expected and are not exhaustive.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota is required.
- CPR certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred, along with a minimum of three years of management experience in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and analytical skills are essential.
- Ability to effectively engage with residents, families, and a diverse workforce.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations governing nursing home care is necessary.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures is essential.
- Completion of a state-required background study is mandatory.
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the position is required.
- Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with staff, residents, and visitors.
