Vegetation Management Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Vegetation Management General Foreman to oversee vegetation management operations, including maintenance, removal, and control of vegetation to support infrastructure and land management projects.
As the Vegetation Management General Foreman, you will lead and supervise a team of field staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily operations of the vegetation management crew, including task delegation, performance monitoring, and training.
- Develop and implement vegetation management plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of work sites to identify potential hazards and address issues promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and personnel hours.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure all tools and machinery are in good working condition.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to vegetation management.
- Travel and overnight stays when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in vegetation management, with a strong understanding of industry practices and safety standards.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
- Knowledge of vegetation control methods, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., CDL, ISA, pesticide application, first aid) are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical or trade school education is desirable.
