Position Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will assume the role of a Senior Electrical Certification Engineer within the Interiors Installation & Integration division. Our focus is on providing innovative design and certification solutions tailored for commercial aviation operators.


Your Responsibilities:

In this influential position, you will take charge of the development and certification processes for electrical components, ensuring compliance with rigorous STC and regulatory standards. Your contributions will be essential in advancing aviation safety and innovation.

Key Duties Include:

  1. Creating Detailed Test Plans:

    You will have the opportunity to design comprehensive test plans and reports, ensuring thorough evaluation of all electrical components.

  2. Managing Testing Operations:
    You will oversee testing procedures from initiation to completion, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency. Your attention to detail will be crucial in identifying potential issues and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
  3. Documenting Compliance:

    Your expertise will be critical in developing and reviewing documentation for various electrical components, including Grounding & Bonding, thermal systems, and safety assessments, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.

  4. Maintaining Quality Assurance:
    You will play a significant role in upholding quality standards by creating processes, templates, and work instructions, contributing to metrics such as First Pass Yield and First Time Fix.
  5. Conducting Design Evaluations:

    Your insights will be invaluable during design evaluations, ensuring alignment with requirements and timelines, while proactively identifying challenges for timely resolution.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advanced degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR
  • In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the field.
  • Proven ability to lead team efforts toward achieving organizational goals.
  • Capability to mentor and coach team members.
  • Innovative thinker aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience in designing mechanical and electrical systems for commercial aircraft seating.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Siemens NX, and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with FAA certification processes including TSO/PMA/TC/STC.
  • FAA DER certification is preferred.
  • Experience interacting with FAA and other aviation regulatory bodies.
