Job Overview

ZipRecruiter is collaborating with a prominent heavy engineering firm to find an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to enhance their operational team.


Compensation:
£19 per hour + £25 weekly + £60 weekly for supervisory responsibilities – total annual compensation approximately £41,470

Working Hours:
  • Day shift, Monday to Friday
  • 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM

This role is hands-on, requiring both independent work and collaboration with the site Maintenance Team.


We seek a candidate who can operate autonomously and manage their time effectively.


Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor include:
  • Assigning tasks to team members
  • Responding promptly to equipment failures, conducting fault analysis, and performing repairs safely and efficiently
  • Utilizing communication devices to respond to inquiries during and outside of standard working hours
  • Documenting daily activities, including maintenance performed, inventory levels, and scheduled tasks
  • Monitoring inventory and recognizing when supplies are running low
  • Executing preventive maintenance tasks and health and safety inspections
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives and project work aimed at enhancing plant reliability, energy efficiency, and cost savings

We are particularly interested in candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Completion of an electrical engineering apprenticeship
  • NVQ Level 3 certification in electrical or maintenance engineering
  • Expertise in panel assembly and wiring, including control circuits and motor starters
  • Ability to perform electrical installations, including cabling and power supply setups
  • Prior experience in an industrial setting
