Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct standard engineering tasks that contribute significantly to larger projects, utilizing effective engineering techniques to address challenges and inform design choices.
  • Act as a representative for the Flammability Certification team during internal technical assessments and design evaluations.
  • Prepare and compile FAA certification documentation for submission to aircraft manufacturers and regulatory bodies.
  • Review and authorize design modifications to ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  • Engage in material selection and specification correlation to support project objectives.
  • Collaborate as part of a team during specific phases of extensive engineering projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of necessary documentation for assigned initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance to a small group of engineers and technicians on temporary assignments.
  • Ensure the successful completion of project phases within established time and budget constraints.
  • Contribute to the definition of engineering strategies and assist in work planning and scheduling.
  • Travel may be required up to 10% based on business needs.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an advanced degree in a related field or 6 years of relevant experience without a degree may be acceptable.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with standard materials used in aviation.
  • Experience in the aerospace sector, particularly with aircraft interiors.
  • Prior experience in reviewing and approving technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver presentations effectively.
  • Proven ability to collaborate productively with team members and cross-functional groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering-related software applications.
