Position Overview:
This is a full-time role with day shifts, where you will be responsible for:
- Delivering exceptional medical physics services that meet or exceed state and federal standards, as well as national benchmarks in radiation oncology.
- Overseeing the administration of the radiation safety program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and certifying bodies, and providing training and supervision for staff.
- Engaging in the development of innovative programs and technologies, including information management and treatment planning.
- Conducting thorough weekly chart reviews and checks of treatment plans.
- Executing dosimetric calculations for external beam, brachytherapy, and radiopharmaceutical therapies.
- Offering medical physics consultations to physicians, staff, and patients, with a focus on radiation safety for patients and their families.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master’s degree in Medical Physics.
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience in radiation therapy physics.
- Current active state licensure or registration in Therapeutic Medical Physics as required by state regulations.
- Certification from the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
