Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of accounting and auditing assignments for municipalities, schools, and non-profit organizations under the supervision of senior staff members.
  • Conduct audit procedures, including a test of internal controls over receipting, disbursements, and payroll, and preparation of audit working papers.
  • Assist with reviewing financial statements and other documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned by senior staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in public accounting or governmental audits.
  • Strong knowledge of governmental accounting and auditing standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including some overnight stays.
