Key Responsibilities- Perform non-invasive vascular exams to assess for vascular disease or disorders
- Compile information gathered on exams to provide preliminary impressions
- Work independently to perform technical procedures, including duplex imaging and pulse volume recordings
- Notify physicians of abnormal findings and prepare patients for examination
- Maintain accurate testing documentation and complete financial documentation for billing
- Completion of an appropriate allied health program leading to a degree or certificate in non-invasive cardiovascular ultrasound techniques
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or other appropriate national registry
- Advanced training in anatomy, physiology, biology, and physics
- Demonstrated proficiency with non-invasive vascular laboratory equipment and procedures
