Job Title: Substation Physical Engineer

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Substation Physical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing substation electrical projects, working on projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop substation electrical projects, including one-line drawings, three-line drawings, plan-section drawings, foundation, and grounding drawings.
  • Perform quality control checks on substation physical design projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs.
  • Attend site visits at customer locations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and safe work practices, as well as project scope, schedule, and budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in substation physical design, or 4+ years of experience in related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
