Key Responsibilities:- Establish and implement a health and wellness outreach initiative, including chronic disease self-management and targeted nutrition programs for families and seniors.
- Provide essential training in food safety for food service professionals, alongside nutrition and child development training for childcare providers.
- Assist individuals and families in enhancing their financial literacy, focusing on budgeting, saving, and investing strategies.
- Deliver educational programs tailored to diverse audiences, addressing critical community needs.
This position necessitates frequent evening meetings, occasional weekend commitments, and participation in out-of-county engagements. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for official travel are mandatory, with reimbursement for business-related travel provided.
Qualifications:- A Master's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Food & Nutrition, Food Science/Safety, Child Care, Health, Human Development, Financial Management, Housing, or a related field.
- A Bachelor's degree may be acceptable for provisional appointments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Strong public speaking and teaching abilities.
- Experience in organizing youth programming and activities.
- Capacity to build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
- High standards of professionalism in all interactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and community groups.
- Skills in designing and implementing educational programs that meet community needs.
- Leadership and management capabilities.
This role is classified as a position of trust, requiring direct interaction with children and access to sensitive information.
