Position Overview

The Sales Manager for Surgical Solutions will oversee the promotion and support of Getinge's Surgical Workplace Products, which include Surgical Lighting, Booms, Tables, and Infection Control equipment such as sterilizers and washers. This role will also involve assisting with Video Integration and asset management for both current and prospective clients within the designated region. The successful candidate will engage in a mix of replacement, renovation, and new construction projects. Key objectives include expanding Getinge's market presence, fostering robust customer relationships, and enhancing brand loyalty and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve or surpass sales targets while managing expenses within the assigned territory.
  • Develop strategic sales initiatives for all necessary opportunities, while effectively planning, prioritizing, and tracking all sales cycle activities.
  • Regularly update and monitor individual sales forecasts with a focus on accuracy.
  • Provide compelling Return on Investment (ROI) and business case analyses to support the acquisition of Getinge Surgical Workplace products.
  • Oversee the forecasting, monitoring, closing, and post-sales support of all business within the territory.
  • Promote the full range of Getinge's product offerings, including equipment lines, training programs, and service contracts.
  • Market and sell equipment upgrades or replacements to existing clients.
  • Engage new customers to replace competitors' installed systems.
  • Manage lead follow-up, sales planning, and territory oversight.
  • Identify necessary resources to effectively position Getinge during the sales and support processes.
  • Track, report, and analyze sales opportunities in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate product demonstration events and assist with installation and post-sales support.
  • Address customer concerns in collaboration with the Regional Sales Director and relevant Getinge personnel.
  • Optimize time and resources within the assigned territory to meet objectives.
  • Foster teamwork within the region and maintain collaborative relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while upholding integrity and strong work ethics.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical device or capital sales, including direct sales to healthcare professionals and institutions; or 4 years of relevant clinical experience with sales aptitude, preferably in the Operating Room (OR).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, along with familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required; must reside within the assigned region.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Capable of interpreting data from reports, software, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in working at a computer workstation for a significant portion of the workweek.
