Key Responsibilities

As an HVAC Installation Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Installing and replacing HVAC systems, including ductwork, split systems (gas or heat pump), and rooftop units.
  • Ensuring the company vehicle is well-maintained and stocked with necessary tools and safety equipment.
  • Traveling to various job sites and coordinating with dispatch to adhere to the schedule and communicate any delays effectively.
  • Designing duct systems to optimize comfort and efficiency for our clients.
  • Engaging with homeowners to identify their concerns and interests regarding their HVAC systems, potentially leading to accessory sales or system replacements.
  • Participating in ongoing training to stay updated on customer service practices and the latest industry technologies.
  • Mentoring and coaching apprentices and entry-level technicians.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with a solid understanding of refrigeration theory and the ability to diagnose and replace HVAC components.
  • Type II EPA Certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Basic hand tools and testing equipment proficiency.
  • A working knowledge of local codes and regulations.
  • The ability to work independently and efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed correctly on the first attempt.
  • Physical capability to navigate tight spaces and work at heights.
