Job Description

The Associate Program Manager will work closely with seasoned professionals in the development and upgrades of radar systems and radar subsystems, integration of systems with radar systems, development of advanced millimeter wave radar based landing systems, integration of GPS and radar systems, and pursuit of other advanced technologies for navigation and landing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of cost, schedule, and performance for assigned programs, in accordance with approved SNC processes.
  • Ensure a continuous line of communication is kept open with internal and external customer representatives to maintain a high level of program status awareness and provide timely recognition and resolution of problems.
  • Assist in identifying staffing and resource needs for assigned and projected programs to ensure adequate staffing for successful program completion.
  • Perform risk analysis to ensure successful program execution.
  • Assist in the development of FAR-compliant proposals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager/Director of Programs.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and AS9100 Policies and Processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and drive others to success.
  • Requires strong analytical skills and capability to meet schedules.
  • Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Exhibits an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness with attention to detail.
  • Ability to speak in public forums.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Project.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Typically 1-3 years of related experience or; Bachelors in Engineering, Aerospace or Program Management.
  • Typically 1-3 years of program management experience managing projects requiring Earned Value Management.
  • Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes.
  • General knowledge of GPS and Radar systems is a plus.

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.

Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
