Program Manager Job Description

Are you a seasoned leader looking to take on a challenging role in program management? We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team at Sierra Nevada Corporation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Develop and implement program plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Manage program risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with program directors and business operations to achieve program objectives
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and ISO 9001:2000 policies and processes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in project or program management
  • 5+ years of leading large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or advanced degree in related field
  • Experience with evaluating requests for proposals and preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals
  • Experience with managing multiple large-scale projects or a portfolio of projects
  • Experience with ensuring compliance with approved corporate and ISO 9001:2000 policies and processes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Experience with managing projects/programs using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile, and/or spiral development models
  • Experience with managing projects/programs requiring Earned Value Management
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
