At Tenet Massachusetts, we are seeking an experienced Stroke Program Coordinator to join our team at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in program management, leadership, and stroke care.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with 5 years of clinical experience, including telemetry, and a proven track record of successfully coordinating and implementing stroke programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work independently, and be self-directed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the key elements of the stroke certification process, including development and review of protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement, and community outreach. They will also collaborate with the Emergency Department, ED Director, EMS, hospital department directors, and staff to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement patient care pathways based on current research and standards of care.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on clinical care reviews, reviewing with ED Director, ED Assistant Director, Stroke Medical Director, and appropriate committees as scheduled.
  • Plan, develop, initiate, and evaluate yearly stroke performance improvement plans.
  • Collect and analyze stroke program patient data to assist with documentation, clinical care, and improved outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing with a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Certified, licensed, or registered to practice as a nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
  • 5 years of clinical experience, including telemetry, with a proven track record of successfully coordinating and implementing stroke programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently, and be self-directed.
