Nursing Program Specialist

At UMass Med School, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr Educational Program Specialist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in program management and marketing to drive the success of our educational programs.
The Sr Educational Program Specialist will be responsible for independently organizing and coordinating activities related to the program's participants. You will act as a resource to students, faculty, clinical faculty, sites, and school administration, providing guidance on nursing tracks and activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage daily administrative activities of major program tracks, including student support, faculty coordination, and community preceptor engagement.
- Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries about educational programs, providing timely and accurate information.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop curriculum materials and student resources, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Assist with course organization, day-to-day operations, technology, and multimedia support for multiple GSN courses, working closely with course directors and faculty members.
- Develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns to engage current and prospective students, faculty, staff, and community partners, promoting the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing brand.
- Ensure consistency of high-quality marketing materials and campaigns across all channels, aligning with the school's strategic goals.
- Write, edit, and manage original content for various marketing platforms, including email, audio, visual, and video content.
- Streamline communication messaging across channels, including advertising, website content, event marketing, digital outreach, drip campaign email messaging, and social media marketing.
- Utilize photography, videography, and audio to enrich and enhance marketing initiatives, maximizing content opportunities on the website and social media.
- Manage the Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing website, collaborating with admissions, student life, IT, and academics teams to ensure engagement and updates.
- Write, edit, and distribute a monthly e-newsletter to internal and external audiences, highlighting program achievements and updates.
- Create and maintain a compelling presence across social media channels, engaging with current and prospective students, faculty, and staff.
- In collaboration with course directors, organize, produce, and distribute printed course materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide administrative support for new MS program development, including budget planning, data tracking, and reporting.
- Offer assistance and direction to GSN students, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Maintain teaching aides, preparing classrooms and labs for both technology and physical set-ups.
- Reconcile departmental ProCard accounts, monitoring expenses and adhering to financial protocols.
- Schedule meetings, reserve rooms for educational activities, and organize supplementary teaching events.
- Provide administrative support for lecture, report, and presentation preparation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Act as a liaison for guest teaching faculty, scheduling and confirming outside speakers as assigned.
- Support GSN Committees as assigned, contributing to committee work and decision-making processes.
- Prepare information and documentation for Oasis, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead small projects in collaboration with course directors, driving innovation and progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible administrative/management experience, including complex scheduling, budgeting, and office management, preferably in an academic setting.
- Experience developing and managing marketing campaigns, leveraging creativity and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, data analysis, and report generation, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage and coordinate multi-faceted, multi-day programs and projects, with strong problem-solving and adaptability.
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
