Ambulatory Care Nurse Opportunity

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a key member of our Ambulatory Medical Surgical Specialties team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Care Float Pool. In this role, you will provide nursing support and care to patients in various Medical, Surgical, and Specialty clinics. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care, and that our team is equipped to handle the daily RN staffing needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing support and care to patients in Ambulatory Medical Surgical Specialties and Float Pool
  • Ensure timely and effective care for patients, including clinical telephone triage and in-person assessment
  • Maintain familiarity with department activity and work closely with clinicians and support staff to provide optimal care
  • Participate in quality management and quality improvement projects as directed by leadership
  • Use electronic medical records to document patient care in a clear, concise, and compliant manner
  • Work collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in a safe environment
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 6 months of recent clinical nursing experience in an Ambulatory Clinic/Practice setting and/or Emergency room setting
  • Experience with telephone triage and in-person triage and clinical assessment techniques
  • Ambulatory Neurology experience strongly preferred
  • Case Management experience preferred
