This position requires a keen understanding of how to leverage competitive advantages for Weiss Construction and effectively communicate these advantages throughout the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive estimates utilizing Trimble MEP and HCSS software.
  • Analyze costs related to materials, equipment, and labor efficiency across a diverse array of projects nationwide.
  • Source scopes and pricing from manufacturers and subcontractors.
  • Review and validate project estimates, ensuring all Mechanical components align with the company’s standards.
  • Contribute to the development of proposal materials, including execution plans, baseline schedules, and bid forms.
  • Foster and maintain professional relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Facilitate the transfer of estimate information to project operations personnel.
  • Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Update and manage mechanical database definitions and values.
  • Support operations staff with cost control measures as necessary.
  • Coordinate vendor solicitations across various mechanical disciplines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical estimation.
  • Proficient in utilizing digital plan software.
  • Experience with specialized estimating software is advantageous.
