About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Finance Analyst to join our team at The Shyft Group. As a Business Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a standard finance model in tandem with our ERP implementation group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a standard finance model in tandem with our ERP implementation group
  • Assist in establishing processes, validating and testing, and supplying user training and assistance
  • Spearhead high-impact finance process improvement initiatives across the enterprise
  • Optimize workflows and systems alignment for AP/AR, General Ledger, and more
  • Provide finance system subject matter expertise in areas of AP/AR, General Ledger, Invoicing, Costing, Intercompany, Expense Reporting, and Bank Recompilation
  • Partner with location stakeholders to examine their core finance requirements and processes
  • Identify commonalities and standardize at least 80% of core finance processes across all locations
  • Develop a common finance model that aligns with the new ERP system implementation
  • Examine where there are process flow gaps and misalignments across locations
  • Attend weekly project team meetings and take part in discovery sessions at each location
  • Thoroughly document the current state processes for each finance function (AP, AR, GL)
  • Prepare and review procedures to develop a common finance model
  • Produce detailed documentation that outlines ERP system and process requirements
  • Coordinate a successful handoff of knowledge and ownership of the new ERP system
  • Collaborate with SMEs to establish and implement procedures to support the ERP implementation
  • Attend product training and eLearning sessions and participate in functional prototyping sessions
  • Manage all data conversion and validation plans
  • Facilitate and drive stage gate review sessions to gain acceptance and agreement
  • Provide status reports and additional documentation for the ERP implementation project
  • Oversee the ERP team's activities, identifying problems, and initiating corrective measures
  • Present ideas for finance system and process improvements, including cost proposals
  • Prepare training manuals for new users
  • Maintain the new finance systems once they are up and running
  • Travel approximately 25% to 50% (based on the location being implemented) alternating between site locations and working remotely

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of finance systems and processes, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
