Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Daifuku Automotive America Corporation. As a Mechanical Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and detailing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for our automotive material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and developing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for automotive material handling systems
Applying knowledge of engineering principles to design products, including involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products
Estimating costs for mechanical and structural components of material handling installation costs
Assisting in design and development of new conveyor systems and equipment, and standard cost evaluations for new conveyor equipment
Performing engineering studies to develop reliable and optimum material handling systems based on best engineering practice or customer requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering and designing
Knowledge of AutoCAD, 3-D CAD software, and structural materials
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
