POSITION SUMMARY:

Accountable for the thorough cleaning and preparation of guest accommodations while upholding the standards and consistency of the hotel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Ensure assigned guest rooms are cleaned in accordance with hotel standards, including making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming carpets, and dusting surfaces.
  2. Restock and organize essential items in the guest rooms, such as paper products, toiletries, towels, and other supplies as per hotel guidelines.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of immediate exterior entry areas and windows in line with hotel protocols.
  4. Safely operate housekeeping machinery and equipment.
  5. Regularly restock and maintain the housekeeping cart.
  6. Assist with the monthly inventory of housekeeping supplies.
  7. Familiarize oneself with all hotel emergency procedures.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines set by the hotel.
  9. Comply with all quality assurance standards established for the department.
  10. Manage key control effectively for issued keys.
  11. Handle keys left by guests in the rooms responsibly.
  12. Deliver all lost and found items to the supervisor or manager for proper logging and storage.
  13. Utilize the L.E.A.R.N Model for addressing guest recovery incidents.
  14. Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude when interacting with guests.
  15. Promptly report any unusual situations in guest rooms to a supervisor or manager.
  16. Complete maintenance work orders and submit them to the supervisor or designated area promptly.
  17. Courteously accommodate special requests from guests.
  18. Provide information to guests regarding hotel amenities and local attractions.
  19. Execute any reasonable requests from management that fall within capabilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position may require frequent bending, lifting, carrying, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling, and prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Candidates must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Training will be provided to perform all tasks within the required safety standards. If at any point you feel unable to perform any of these functions, please communicate with your manager immediately.
