Position Title: Agile Project Leader - Finance IT

Role Summary:

The Agile Project Leader will concentrate on enhancing the utilization of technology within the Finance IT sector. This role involves close collaboration with Product Owners and delivery teams to ensure effective leadership and alignment of objectives. The leader will be responsible for removing obstacles and ensuring the team is accountable for delivering value and meeting commitments.

This position emphasizes transparency within Finance IT through open communication with Product Owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders. The Agile Project Leader will provide visibility into delivery progress, challenges, risks, and achievements. This role is crucial in advancing the agile transformation within the organization, serving as a champion and change agent. The leader will mentor teams and advocate for the adoption of agile principles, standards, and best practices. Additionally, the Agile Project Leader will contribute to the organization's Agile process maturity through participation in the Agile Community of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and facilitate the adoption of agile methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Ensure meetings are constructive, focused, and adhere to scheduled times.
  • Maintain open communication with organizational leaders regarding delivery progress, challenges, and risks.
  • Guide the team in enhancing collaboration and self-management, fostering positive interactions within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Leverage team feedback and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and work collaboratively with the team to enhance processes.
  • Organize and lead agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, iteration reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to manage the backlog effectively.
  • Oversee user story estimation and forecasting processes.
  • Proactively identify and address barriers to team progress.
  • Represent the team in broader planning and coordination sessions.
  • Experiment with innovative practices and frameworks to optimize team outcomes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of agile practices within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in agile development.
  • Relevant Agile Certifications (Scrum Alliance, Scaled Agile Framework, Kanban, etc.).
  • Experience with agile delivery tools for progress management and reporting (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, planning, and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Pragmatic approach to decision-making and problem-solving based on principles.
  • Familiarity with current and emerging technologies.
