Key Responsibilities- Front Desk - Patient Service
- Provide a positive patient experience by serving as the initial point of contact, registering patients, and collecting payments.
- Inform patients about delays and wait times, and follow up to ensure their inquiries or complaints are resolved.
- Answer patient inquiries, investigate complaints, and direct them to supervisors or other staff members as needed.
- Obtain and validate patient information, including photo identifications and insurance cards.
- Provide consent, financial, and HIPAA compliance documents to patients, explaining them thoroughly if necessary.
- Utilize EHR software, hardware, and programs to manage patient records and coordinate with interdepartmental professionals.
- Verify prescriptions and referrals for accuracy, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure patients receive the necessary exams.
- Coordinate with technologists to ensure efficient patient flow and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Medical Records - Patient Service
- Ensure quality assurance of health records by verifying their completeness, accuracy, and proper entry into computer systems.
- Retrieve and release health information data/medical records in adherence to HIPAA and company policies.
- Interact with patients and team members, ensuring inclusion and cooperation.
- Work as a liaison between healthcare providers and offices, utilizing EHR software and hardware to manage patient records.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, ensuring efficient patient flow and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Tech Support - Patient Service
- Monitor modality schedules and greet patients, escorting them to changing rooms and explaining procedures.
- Prep and changing room turnaround, performing proper sanitizing techniques.
- Help technologists stay on schedule by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to leave the table.
- Ensure patient areas are stocked and organized, cleaning and stocking patient prep rooms and restrooms.
- Check with technologists, center supervisors, or managers for additional duties as needed.
- 2+ years of exceptional customer service delivery experience, preferred.
- Positive interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates strong eye contact, social engagement, and empathy to patients.
- Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary professional teams.
- Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
- Computer knowledge and skills, EMR/EHR experience preferred.
- Healthcare experience, preferably in Radiology, preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology, preferred.
- Bilingual, preferred.
