Prospective Pay System Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Prospective Pay System Coordinator to join our team at Inova Health System. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient assessment instruments.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data from various sources, including medical records and IDX Lastword, to complete patient assessment instruments within required timeframes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other team members to identify accurate ICD-9-CM codes for co-morbid conditions and record them on patient assessment instruments.
- Monitor records for complications and accurately document them on patient assessment instruments.
- Maintain accurate and timely records to ensure compliance with Prospective Pay System (PPS) rules and regulations.
- Identify patients who meet discharge criteria and facilitate completion of discharge scores within required timeframes.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification upon start
- Licensure as a Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, or Registered Nurse in Virginia
- Two years of inpatient Rehab/PPS experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Nursing, or Science
