Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Social Health Technician-Behavioral Health to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. The successful candidate will work closely with our psychiatric team to provide individualized care to patients who are acutely ill, either physically or emotionally.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and report on patients' physical condition, mental state, and social behavior
- Participate in planning and implementing daily living activities on the ward
- Contribute to the development of a therapeutic ward environment
- Assist with after-care for patients being discharged from the psychiatric service
- One year of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or medical facility
- Ability to establish successful interpersonal relationships with patients and co-workers
- Good knowledge of methods and procedures used in applying appropriate treatment
- Ability to effectively carry out oral and written instructions
