As the Fleet Maintenance Operations Supervisor at RXO, you will be responsible for managing and improving all repair and maintenance functions for both internal and external equipment. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals, including invoice auditors and collection specialists, focusing on process optimization and cost-saving initiatives. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring precise record-keeping in operations and billing systems while adhering to all maintenance and repair protocols.
  • Acting as a liaison for the department; proactively addressing issues that impede progress.
  • Maintaining daily communication with vendors, customers, internal dray terminals, and independent contractors.
  • Investigating and resolving complex customer issues effectively.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and leading a team of maintenance coordinators and office staff, as well as managing third-party vendor relationships.
  • Documenting all roadside service interactions.
  • Negotiating contracts and rates with vendors.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

At a minimum, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in logistics or transportation maintenance within an asset-based environment.
  • The flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A strong business acumen with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with management teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills, with the capability to guide and motivate staff.
  • The ability to adapt communication styles to different work structures and cultures.
  • Proficiency in Windows applications and Microsoft Office, with a quick learning curve for new software.
  • A knack for identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy, optimize resources, and implement effective solutions.
  • A creative and strategic mindset, focused on achieving results.
