Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Titan International, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at Titan Tire Corporation in Des Moines, IA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program to drive equipment uptime throughout the departments.

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained at the facilities.
  2. Develop and implement site-specific maintenance logs for each facility.
  3. Conduct quarterly maintenance inspections of each facility with the relevant Supervisor or Manager.
  4. Provide a summary of maintenance recommendations to the relevant manager.
  5. Coordinate, arrange, and supervise the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with company operating procedures, practices, and financial considerations.
  6. Ensure major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement.
  7. Develop, implement, and review equipment records (included in Maintenance Logs).
  8. Establish procedures and contacts to ensure timely repairs of equipment requiring minor repairs on a frequent basis.
  9. Secure major equipment bids and make recommendations for purchase when replacement or new equipment is required.
  10. May arrange or provide training for personnel as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of equipment.
  11. Provide staff training in a variety of safety and maintenance topics.
  12. Arrange and coordinate annual fire safety training with the Safety Director and/or various other employees and staff.
  13. Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
  14. Participate in annual budget preparation as it relates to safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  15. Regularly review and monitor compliance with safe work systems and maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Leadership ability to mentor, train, and monitor the team's productivity to department KPIs.
  • Mechanical/Electrical aptitude to understand equipment throughout the facility.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to drive change.
