Welfare Program Evaluator

We are pleased to announce an opening for a Health and Welfare Assessor within our organization. This role involves collaborating closely with the leadership team to address operational requirements by ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and quality assurance measures are effectively implemented to meet both company and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate training sessions on the company Welfare Program for both Contract and Employee locations; document and communicate the results of site audits concerning health and welfare standards, including bio-security measures, vaccine administration, animal handling, euthanasia equipment, and safety protocols.
- Assist farms in executing corrective actions identified during internal or external audits, manage medication inventory on-site, and conduct inspections of facilities and equipment as necessary.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement beyond the audit scope to foster continuous systemic enhancement.
- Conduct necropsies and submit samples for diagnostic analysis.
- Train new and existing personnel, growers, and independent contractors on company SOPs to ensure compliance and understanding, while providing ongoing support through assessments and audits.
- Offer assistance to farms and service teams as needed, particularly when additional labor is required.
- Support veterinarians and the research department in executing trials that align with system initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred; alternatively, a minimum of 6 months of experience in swine management with 50% of training responsibilities required. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Current certification or willingness to obtain certification in PQA+ Advisor and TQA training.
- A valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) are required.
