Position Overview: The Quality Program Strategist II will be responsible for identifying industry trends and managing quality enhancement initiatives related to HEDIS or CAHPS strategies. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to assess their business challenges and proposing effective solutions that deliver business value. You will analyze stakeholder concerns, develop hypotheses, and validate conclusions to determine suitable resolutions.
- Conduct thorough evaluations to support HEDIS gap closure and assess member/patient experiences for potential pilot initiatives or process enhancements aimed at achieving sustainable quality performance objectives. This evaluation encompasses a comprehensive review of measure specifications, performance trends, stakeholder engagement, industry literature, organizational initiatives, and relevant policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with assigned markets to ensure ongoing measure performance. Develop resources and tools to facilitate HEDIS gap closure and continuously assess health plan requirements, partnering with cross-functional teams for successful implementation.
- Oversee compliance with state reporting requirements, HHS, and HPMS memos concerning quality ratings. Establish policies and procedures for quality checks on all member and provider communications to guarantee the accuracy of information and alignment with Iowa Total Care's business objectives.
- Design, maintain, and deliver training programs for Quality Improvement Health Plan staff as needed based on assigned responsibilities.
Licensure/Certification: Preferred certifications include Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); CPHQ certification is also preferred.
